Winchester Excavations Volumes 1 and 2 1949-1960 – Cunliffe and Collis

Both volumes included here in the Winchester Excavations archaeological reports from 1949 to 1960. Volume 1 is by Barry Cunliffe, renowned historian and the 2nd volume by John Collis. Winchester’s history goes back to before the Romans and new excavations are always finding interesting stories and artefacts.

Volume 1 is not perfect; there are blemishes on the front cover which seems to be detaching from spine a little on the inside.
Volume 2 is not too bad and in quite good condition.
Both books are quite old.
